Dinner and a seat in the card room are two different bookings, and you can have either or both. Fill in the form, and Vanessa will confirm by e-mail.

Your details

Tell us when you're coming

Give us as much as you can, including allergies or a celebration. It's a request until Vanessa confirms it, and she'll ring if the time you've picked is taken.

Before you book

Two bookings, one good night

A dinner table is held in the dining room, and you can pick any time from half past five to a quarter to nine. A card-room seat is a place for the evening, not a time, and the room opens at seven. Plenty of people book both, and the kitchen will time your pudding so you can walk straight through.

It costs nothing to book and nothing to sit in the card room. You only pay for what you eat and drink, and that's settled at the table when you've finished. We don't take deposits, we don't charge for cancelling and we don't mind if your plans change.

Walk-ins are always welcome when there's room, but Fridays and Saturdays fill early, so ring or send the form if you can. If you're a big group, give us a few days, so Heather can plan and Owen can find the long table.

Booking questions

What people ask before they book

How far ahead should I book?
Tuesday to Thursday you can usually book on the day. Friday and Saturday fill a week ahead, and the Friday tournament list often closes by lunchtime, so ring early if you'd like a place.
Can I book only the card room?
Yes. Book a seat for the evening, tell us you're not dining, and Vanessa will hold it until half past nine. Plenty of people eat at home first and arrive in time for the seven o'clock opening.
Do I get a confirmation?
Yes. Vanessa replies by e-mail within a day, naming the night, the time and the table. If you haven't heard by then, check your junk folder, or ring and she'll sort it out.
What if I need a high chair or a ramp?
Tell us when you book and it'll be ready. The front door has a ramp, the dining room is on one level and we keep two high chairs in the storeroom for the smallest guests.
