Our cookie notes

This site remembers two things in your browser and nothing else unless you say yes. Here's what they are, by name, and how to get rid of them.

The basics

Cookies, in plain words

What cookies are

A cookie is a small bit of text that a website asks your browser to hang on to. Browsers also keep similar notes in local storage, which works much the same way. They let a site remember a choice, so it doesn't ask you the same question every time you come back.

Consent is off by default

This site is set up so that every optional category is refused until you say otherwise. Pressing the accept button in the notice records your answer. If you decline, or just ignore the notice, nothing that measures or follows your visit is loaded, and the site works exactly the same.

Analytics tags

The pages are ready to work with measurement tags, but those tags stay switched off unless you accept. If you do, we'd use them only to see which pages get read and when. We wouldn't use them to follow you around the internet, and we don't link them to your booking.

Your choices

The map, your control and how long things last

The embedded map

The map on the Where to find us page loads straight away from a third-party provider, before you've made any choice. That provider may set cookies of its own when the map appears, and we have no say over them. If you'd rather not receive them, skip that page or block third-party cookies in your browser; the address is printed next to the map.

How to manage your choice

You can remove the stored items at any time in your browser's settings, and most browsers will also let you block cookies from certain sites or from all sites. After you clear them, the age question and the cookie notice come back next time. Nothing you do here affects a booking you've already made.

How long things last

Our two items stay until you clear them. Private windows forget everything the moment they close, so the notice and the age question reappear each time. The map provider's items last as long as the provider says, usually a few months, and are set by them, not by us.
